Part of our goal here at Rocky Vista Soap Company is to educate everyone on the differences between real soap and "store-bought soap".
Soap used to be natural. A simple process of combining water, lye, and oils/fat. This is how past generations made it. Unfortunately, most "soaps" today are not soaps at all, but technically are classified as a "detergent". These "detergents" are mass-produced in factories and while physically look like soap, their ingredients list shows a mess of chemicals and preservatives. Soap has succumbed to what the food industry has been dealing with for quite some time - more chemicals, more preservatives, and more production.
Here at Rocky Vista Soap Company, our soaps are real - like it was intended to be.
